It's a great mouse August 27, 2010 I ordered this mouse to use with my laptop for gaming, the trackpad just didn't work out so well! :)
I had always heard that Sidewinder was a good quality mouse, so I decided to order this because it was such a great price and matched everything I was looking for (Mainly on-the-fly DPI adjustment, and 2 side buttons) When I first opened the packaging I noticed how sleek and attractive the mouse looked, and found the cord to be of very good quality. The on-the-fly DPI adjustment worked right out of the box, and the two side buttons are easy to use and are in a perfect position for my hands. The tracking laser is good on most surfaces, but I found it skipped a little bit when used on hardwood, this isn't a big issue for me though seeing as how I use a mouse pad anyway.
My biggest gripe with the product is it is very light weight due to it being 100% plastic. Compared to my Habu, the Sidewinder slid around much easier, and I found myself missing clicks because of how light weight it was. This is only a temporary setback though, and only takes 30 minutes to an hour to adjust to.
Overall it's a great mouse, and for this price-point it is the best gaming mouse that you will find.
Thanks for reading my review, and good luck!
nice entry level gaming mouse August 27, 2010 i recently purchased an x5 sidewinder gaming mouse. i like the shift-on-the-fly dpi settings and the custom buttons on thumb side. had a few issues finding custom functions that work in the games i play, but still quite useful. many reviews of this mouse complained that its too big. they were right, its huge. i have large hands, so it works perfectly for me. i am not yet ready to judge its longevity, not had it that long. at this point i think it was the best investment i have made in improving my performance in games.
Gaming Mouse August 18, 2010 I like a larger more comfortable mouse which this is. I haven't figured out how to program it, or how to use all of the different keys, but for the most part I do not need that functionality. I am a mouse/keyboard gamer and it works just fine.
Best mouse I have used August 17, 2010 This mouse is absolutely the best available in the market right now for the price.
Really Nice Product August 12, 2010 This is a really nice PC-mouse. Very responsive and really good looking. Slightly bigger grip than usual, but fits your arm regardless if you have big or small palm. I would recommend this product. For about 30 dollars, it is by far the best mouse.
Max.
